The Jenman Group\\\'s initiative to educate & empower customers to Real Estate transactions have been both an inspiration and a high benchmark for us to aspire. Much of Neil Jenman\\\'s work is linked to from our site. May it be as much benefit to you, as it has been to us, in promoting Real Estate industry best practise for all. We did not inherit a perfect world, so it has been difficult wishing for one. Idealistically, I have never agreed with the concept of private property and have always avoided occupations involving marketing. I have progressed now to being middle aged realist. My intent for involvement in Real Estate is to facilitate in providing others the same happiness and opportunity that a sense of stable occupancy has given me or to best capitalise on change, be it chosen or unchosen. From this primary intent follows that, in making your wish a reality, you avoid the emotional and financial hassles that I have experienced in my personal real estate dealings. These could have been so easily avoided with principles of ethics, empathy, open communication and less focus on financial outcomes for agents. We truly listen to how we can best be of service to you and apply these principals consistently. We aim to make people happy before making money In 1996 I stopped travelling the world and purchased my first property in Deepwater, Queensland, Australia. The agent led me to believe that there was a chronic market shortage of land available in the district and that this particular property was subject to a divorce settlement. Yes .... my lucky day .... and I overly compromised on what I truly wanted, believing this to be the opportunity of a lifetime. My lack of knowledge and experience disempowered me. The agent\\\'s friendship was withdrawn after signing the contract. My chosen solicitor dropped me, as it turned out that he was acting for the vendors also. Simple questions remained unanswered. \\\"You should have thought of that before you signed the contract\\\". In studying Real Estate industry examples in the ensuing years, it seems that I was given reasonably good treatment by comparison to some. I know how Real Estate dealings should not be done, the resultant unnecessary emotional and financial suffering. I am always willing to learn how it can be done better. You, our customer, can help us with that. Our dedication to these principals will be so competitive, that other Real Estate agencies will choose to improve or no longer operate. Over time there will be a better Real Estate industry for all of us. Having the opportunity to live in the district that I loved, gave me the time, to truly find the property that I had requested originally. The photo in the background of all our advertising material and the kookaburra, were taken on this property that I now so happily call my home. Despite having tried to subsequently sell my initial purchase, it has been an ideal challenging lesson in property management. With the manner we provide our Real Estate services, it is my intention to give you the pleasures of new opportunities, an empowering experience where you are fully aware, without the unnecessary pain. As you read through this site, I do trust that this becomes apparent. We are alway open to questions and constructive criticism. The only dumb questions is one that was never asked. I have a personal passions for Permaculture, Bio-dynamics, organic food production, personal empowerment and the benefits of retreats to more natural spaces. My career goal would be that our real estate agency eventually specialise, firstly in Queensland, better facilitating these ever growing practices for the higher good of all. |
