Raine & Horne Kellyville is a new business situated in an area overflowing with an amazing history. Over the years this area has developed to become a place with a wonderful community spirit. It is full of fine properties, many of which are set on acreage. The History of Kellyville Initially, three men, John Fitzgerald Burns, James Green and George Withers (there are roads in Kellyville named Burns, Green and Withers) united in a grand project of creating the "Kellyville Estate" named after Hugh Kelly. They proceeded to purchase land beginning in 1882. Over the years, The Kellyville Estate evolved to become a place with many wonderful properties and a home for many families. The Acres Family Our office is situated on Acres Road. This road was named after members of the Acres family who arrived in Australia from Ireland on 7th November 1821. Much of the original Acres land was sold to the Kellyville Seventh Day Adventist Church and the fence line of this property marks the most southern boundary of Kellyville. The History of Our Office Building The office building of Raine & Horne Kellyville was initially the post master's residence which was adjoined to the post office. It functioned as a post office from 1923-1973. It's role is no longer to house the Post Master but instead, to act as our office as we endeavour to satisfy all of our customers in their real estate needs. |
