In 1983, Max and Terry Street opened the doors of Street Real Estate in Newcastle. Within 4 years the organisation had expanded and new premises were opened at 426 Hunter Street, Newcastle.

In 1988 Street Real Estate were contracted by BHP Steel to participate in an asset rationalisation programme that included residential housing, englobo land and two former collieries. This served as a catalyst for Street Real Estate to broaden their areas of expertise into residential land sales, apartment sales and project marketing.

In March 1998 Street Real Estate opened in Belmont and in 2000 purchased Ken Hazelton Real Estate Redhead and Whitebridge. Street Real Estate has also recently opened an office in Charlestown.
